What Does An EICR Test Involve?

Our Highly trained technicians will run a thorough test on your electrical installation so that it is in safe working order. This will include:

· Testing all the wiring connected to your fuse board

· Inspected for any faults that may be hidden

· Ensuring the earthing and bonding are in good conditions

· Ensuring all devices are protected against fire or electric shocks

· Inspecting any damage and wear and tear that will affect the safety of your tenant

· Checking for broken or exposed wires that could result in a fire

· Ensuring the circuit board is not being over-loaded

· Taking note of any damaged fittings

How Often Should These Checks Be Carried Out?

It all depends on what you’re renting the property as. we’ve broken it down so you can see when you need to get an EICR test.

Domestic – after 10 years or change of occupancy

Commercial – 5 years or change of occupancy

Industrial – 3 years

Residential – 5 years or change of occupancy

Shops and offices – 5 years
